Bound in cream cloth-backed hardcovers with pictorial in-lays and embossed gilt lettering to front and spine. Contains colour frontis by Mary S Reeve, 4 other colour plates by C. E. Brock and other artists as well as numerous line illustrations throughout. Good antique condition : Moderate wear (rubbing, bumping) and soiling to boards which nonetheless still maintain quite a bit of their original charm. Pages clear and generally bright, with only occasional thumbing / light foxing here and there. No inscriptions or annotations. Binding secure.
