This is a rare 1949 hard-cover poetry book (see pictures), entitled FINGERBOARD, nicely SIGNED by deceased author Marshall Schacht. Marshall Schacht passed away in 1956 at the young age of 51, and his signature is not common. This book, 63 pages in length, was his first collection of poems. They include "The Man On The Train", "A Fact Of Nature", and "The Deed I Watched". This book is clean and intact, exhibiting some wear, discoloration, and creasing from handling and storage over the past 75 years. The dust jacket has a tear, as shown in the picture. In addition to Schacht's signature and the original owner's name on the first inside page, there are a few instances of underlining in pencil in the book. It would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a wonderful gift for that Marshall Schacht enthusiast, poetry lover, or signed book collector in your life! Postage is $4.50.
