This auction is for a First Edition/Second Printing (identified by poem on Page 6) volume of "Treat 'em Rough - Letters From Jack the Kaiser Killer" by Ring W. Lardner. Published in 1918. Hardcover. Relevant owner inscription on front free endpaper: Pvt. Fanche, Co, 388, Marine Barracks, Paris Island, SC. The missing DJ was designed as a mailer, and was likely used to send the book to Pvt.
