Vintage likely circa 1920 Japanese cast iron Moon Gazing Hare. Usagi in Japanese is a rabbit or Hare. In Japanese Folklore they are mythical creatures which represent luck and fertility among other things. This is heavy cast iron with a patinated surface of gold and green. It is mounted on a wood plinth. In total it stands 6 7/8” tall and weights close to 3 pounds. Please use photos as a guide and PLEASE ask any questions prior to bidding I will promptly respond.
