works just as good as it looks. this is how you like to find em used.. original and well cared for. the original owner did the thing everyone used to do to identify stolen valuables by scribing their social security number on it. (edited out in pictures) everything is in pick up and go working condition. from the flexible backing plate, to the flexible boot where the cord meets the tool, to the cord and plug.. everything that is normally split or frayed or damaged on vintage power tools that you have to replace to make it safe is perfectly fine. better than fine, great. it was hardly used and kept clean and dry and it really does show. original stickers are there and still colorful. original sioux backer plate w/ original sioux retainer nut. dang it, even the original sioux sanding disc. the spots where the age show are superficial and completely correctable. i almost like the little rough spots. gives it a little character. but if you want a real good start on a restoration project, you have found one. this one is so nice. with the deco styling and rugged dependability, this will make a fantastic addition to any shop.
